MOSSEL BAY, WESTERN CAPE

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Maranatha Community Church launches their Mossel Bay satellite campus with GearWorx as the AV Integrator.

Maranatha is a dynamic contemporary church with a passion for people and the fulfillment of God’s plan in their lives.

The campus consists of a full audio, video and lighting system designed, supplied and installed by GearWorx.
A 180” 16:9 Grandview screen and an Infocus INL4129 WUXGA 5500 Lumens Laser Projector allows for a high quality 4K image, best suited for Sunday services and tuning into live broadcast sermons from the main campus which is based in Kempton Park.

On the audio end, dB Technologies speakers are installed including an Allen & Heath SQ5 Mixer and Sennheiser wireless microphones.
This allows for high end sound reinforcement for the broadcast services and also for live in-person sermons or a live band.

To enhance the overall atmosphere inside the church building, a variety of Chauvet Professional LED colour lights were used and all controlled from an easy to use 6 button B-Station lighting controller. This allows for preprogrammed lighting scenes to be recalled at the touch of a button.

Lastly, we provided additional sound reinforcement in the church cafe area which would also double up as an overflow area. The Audac MFA system and 4 ATEO2 speakers were installed which is easy to operate for any background music or a live audio feed from the auditorium. A Alfatron EXT-60 4K HDMI over Cat6 signal feed was installed into the café area for a TV display which shows the same HD signal from the main auditorium screen.

The entire AV system can also be accessed remotely by GearWorx to assist with any troubleshooting if the need arises.

Overall, the objective to provide a high quality system that’s easy to use was accomplished.

We had a great time working in Mossel Bay and enjoyed helping Maranatha plant a new church in this area of South Africa.
